With the help ofcaring people like you, JDRF is able to fund the best and most important research being done in the world – accelerating the timeline for a cure. Recently, JDRF announced a $6 million grant to investigate benefits of technology that controls glucose levels in diabetics. Among the researchers named was Boris Kovatchev, M.D., Associate Director, University of Virginia Center for Biomathematical Technology. Dr. Kovatchev will lead a team of UVA researchers participating in the Artificial Pancreas Consortium, one of two initiatives that comprise the JDRF Artificial Pancreas Project.That’s what JDRF dollars support in Virginia and across the world.And that’s why JDRF asks you to consider a major gift to the Central Virginia Chapter.
